An exercise in Where it’s At
My husband called me today and I can hear it in his voice- shaking and a deep sigh. He had left the house only 10 minutes earlier with all 5 kids to take them on a walk around the block with the plan to spend some time playing at the creek. On the phone, he takes a...

This book wasn’t what I thought it would be, but it is a great lesson in seeing things from a kid’s point of view. A great perspective for people who hate traditional parenting books and their idealistic advice.
Words Can Change Your Brain by Andrew Newberg and Mark Robert Waldman
I love thinking about how language changes our emotions and feelings. Such a pivotal realization for me.
